How it Works?

What we need you to do:
Take a look at our
Prices & Sizes page to see the sizes we offer, display options, the costs involved, delivery and payment options.

Our photo plaques require you to send us the image you want displayed. You can send us an original image by post, uploading via the
Enquiry Form, or by e-mail.

Please think about the composition of the image you are sending. Ideally, choose an image that has the subject prominently shown against a background that is as plain as possible.

What we then do:
The image you send will be turned into greyscale (black & white). Some manipulation will be required, usually to the contrast, to ensure the quality of the image is suitable for our processes. It may also be necessary to crop, or centre in on the subject in order to fit the plaque size. If we feel the image will incur any significant changes, then we will contact you first to ensure you are happy with the it.

Our process means the finished image is always a sepia tone.

Original images are scanned and an electronic copy is then used to adapt for firing. The original image is kept safe and returned with your finished plaque.

The image is applied to two sheets of art glass and fired at very high temperatures in a kiln. The resulting handmade plaque is hand finished and, if required, mounted within a frame.

If mounted within a frame, then the plaque is bonded to the outer surface of the frame's glass glazing.

Please make sure you are happy with our
terms.
